Fashion Stylist Eric Himel handles everything from minor fashion adjustments to total style overhauls, and everything in between. Having lived and worked in New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Dallas, New Orleans and Chicago has given Himel a broad exposure to a wide array of clients and their particular needs, and an understanding of the importance of personalized service. 

 
After studying fashion design at New York City’s prestigious Parsons School of Design (Tim Gunn of Project Runway was one of his teachers), Himel - who also holds a degree in photography from the acclaimed School of Visual Arts in New York City – has made it his mission to empower individuals by helping them get in touch with their appearance, and thus their self-confidence.  Himel says that the services he provides are as essential to maintaining a sense of well-being as a medical doctor, therapist or personal trainer. 
 
“I learned early on that people assess you from the moment they meet you, and I want to educate others about how to use their appearance to their benefit,” says Himel. “The simple truth is that until someone gets to know you, you are judged on your appearance. You can work as hard as you want on the inside, but unless the exterior matches all that hard work, there will be a real disconnect.”

 
His philosophy is straightforward and simple: “You should be able to close your eyes and pick out something to wear from your closet,” he says. “It should fit your body, feel good on you and look great - end of story.” Needless to say, Himel is a big proponent of tailoring your clothes, be it a pair of jeans or a black tie-worthy dress, to suit your individual body type.  Proportion and fit are essential to fashion success. 

Based on these elements, Himel has developed a signature service called The Closet Purge™ for both men and women. He’ll help clients sort out what to save and toss, so they can achieve their pinnacle of individual, personal style. “Looking good should be effortless.” Himel contends. 
 
A seasoned professional, Himel will then hold his clients’ hands, guiding them to a myriad of fashion finds. His personal shopping services, aimed at making dressing a pleasure - not a chore - further ups the ante. Using his longstanding relationships with both local and national retailers, Himel will set up exclusive excursions to stores where a hand-picked array of items will be waiting for you to try on with with him. Not enough time to shop, or prefer anonymity? Himel will bring clothing to any location his clients desire, be it their home or hotel. With that said, Himel's clients fly all over the world, meet him in shopping destination cities or comfortably rely on him to choose items for them and have them shipped to their home. In addition, his special relationships with designers and stores gives Himel an insider’s view which enables him to individualize each client's experience and have access to the latest and greatest fashions!
